SHATTERED WORLD, NEW WORLD

Your world was just shattered; now void of hope. “Help, I’m drowning, I can’t go on anymore! Can anyone hear my cries for help?”

Innumerable kleenex depart from the box to wipe my tears and blow my nose. Life was overwhelming. Do you get it? I hear you shouting, yes, yes, yes!

GOOD NEWS WILL COME. HOPE WILL RETURN.

A world devoid of hope brings hopelessness. Take some deep breaths. Seriously, that does bring calmness to our mind and body. Good news will come. Hope will return. Thanking God in the midst of tough times releases God’s presence to envelop you.

I survived the divorce of my parents at a young age. I have experienced mental health challenges of family members and myself. Ending my life was a very real choice I contemplated. God used doctors and medicine to bring balance and stability.

“I have learned to be content [and self-sufficient through Christ, satisfied to the point where I am not disturbed or uneasy] regardless of my circumstances” Philippians 4:11 Amplified

I do admit that I often struggle with being content no matter my circumstances. That is when I call out “Lord Jesus, help me.” The answer to my cry may not come instantly, but I must wait on Him and trust that an answer will come. Waiting times increase my faith.

Desiring to be married was a lifelong longing. I was 69 when God fulfilled that longing! Newly married almost five years ago created a whole new set of challenges I never expected. I do mean never expected. Persevering through the tough times and crying out to God for help has increased my trust in Him. Climbing up that mountain was only possible because God carried me. I will continue to climb mountains. God will continue to carry me.

Allow God to bring good news from bad news into your world. He is right beside you, waiting to receive you into His loving arms. He does not abandon us in the midst of our suffering. Instead, He is all the more present when we cry out to Him!
